I am a mother of three-year old girl, Kari, and I am trying to use Montessori method at home (where I live, there is no Montessori school). I bought some matherials and I prepared another. I almost finished an online course for Montessori teachers. i have success with other children, but not with my daughter. Her reaction to all my actions is- NO! When I show her smt, she says that it shouldn't be done that way and does exactly the opposite. then when I leave her alone and I watch her secretly, I see that she tries to do what I have shown, but when I am watching, she refuses to do what I say. She spills water deliberately and other such stuff just to be on the opposite. I am ptient with her but I really do not know what to do.
